Making Noise

Our friend Mel Poole at SponsorLogic passed along the news that Sprecher Bertalot, an advertising agency in the Midwest somewhere, had changed its name to - get this - Noise.

Mel's suggestions were just too good:
"Maybe McDonald's should change its name to 'Crap.' Winston cigarettes can change its name to 'Death.' And Bridgestone shoudl call its product 'Rollover.'"

You can learn more about Noise here: http://www.make-noise.com/

Advertising agencies trying to be clever. Geez! Boy, am I glad to be out of that business!

I'm not sure I'd call McDonald's Crap. Perhaps Fat though. Or how 'bout Coke as Tooth Rot?

That agency is in Milwaukee, by the way. How did Mel hear about it?

Good to see you in Orlando, albeit so briefly. Thanks for your e-mail too. Sorry we didn't get a chance to reconnect. My apologies, but as you well know, tradeshows can be crazy.

Really sorry, though, to read your posting about being out of the ad biz. What are you up to now?

(RE: your earlier posting...A suggestion on a way to generate returns from shows is to centralize and enhance the lead management process. It makes it cooler for the users and allows for full lifecycle analysis.)
